PROBLEM SOLVING SESSION
Fresh Set of Eyes
Sometimes you don't need another strategy.
You just need somewhere to think.
A problem or decision is sitting with you right now.
Maybe it's been there for weeks. You've thought it through more times than you'd like to admit. You've weighed up the options, talked yourself in and out of different decisions, searched for answers, and hoped that with a little more time it would become clearer.
It hasn't.
Often that's because you're standing inside your own business.
Sometimes the hardest part isn't finding the answer.
It's carrying the weight of not knowing what the answer is.
Fresh Set of Eyes is a focused 90-minute conversation where we take one problem, decision or situation and think it through properly.
You bring what's taking up space in your head. I bring an experienced outside perspective, good questions, pattern recognition and an ability to connect the dots that are difficult to see when you're standing in the middle of them.
The goal isn't for me to think for you.
It's to help you see your own business more clearly than you can from the inside.
90 minutes. One focused problem. A clearer way forward.
You might be here because...
You've already tried thinking it through on your own.
Perhaps you've talked it over with someone close to you who doesn't quite understand the business side of it. You've searched online, listened to podcasts, asked AI, waited for more information, or pushed it down the list hoping the answer would become obvious later.
But you're still carrying it.
Not necessarily because you need more information.
You might simply need someone with the right perspective to help you make sense of the information, ideas and instincts you already have.
You know you're capable.
But being capable doesn't mean you can or should have to solve every part of your business alone.
Sometimes you don't need someone to do the work.
You need someone to help you think.
What actually happens in a Fresh Set of Eyes session?

This isn't coaching in the traditional sense, and I don't arrive with a framework I'm trying to fit your problem into.
We start with what's taking up the most space in your mind.
You tell me what's happening.
I listen.
I ask questions.
And together we follow the thread.
Sometimes the problem you arrive with is exactly the problem we need to solve.
Sometimes, as we talk, something underneath it becomes visible.
A question nobody has asked.
A pattern you've stopped noticing.
An assumption worth challenging.
A decision that has become tangled up with three other decisions.
Or simply a clearer understanding of what matters and what doesn't.
Because I'm not carrying the history or emotional weight of the situation, I can often see connections that are much harder to spot from inside it.
My role isn't to tell you what you should do.
It's to help you understand what you're actually dealing with, explore the options in the context of your business, and work out what makes sense from here.
By the end of our conversation, you should have a much clearer view of the issue in front of you and a practical next step.
"I use these calls to make decisions."
Natalie Taylor
What kinds of things can we work through?
The common thread is simple.
It's something that matters, and you haven't been able to resolve it alone.
You might be
-
weighing up whether it's time to hire and what kind of support you actually need
-
trying to understand why a process or client experience feels harder than it should
-
wondering whether something should be delegated, automated, documented, simplified or stopped altogether
-
working through a difficult client or team situation
-
pressure-testing a proposal, investment, offer or new direction before you commit
-
trying to make sense of a business decision where several options could reasonably work
-
carrying one recurring problem or decision that keeps taking more headspace than it deserves
There's no set agenda.
Bring the one thing that's taking more time, energy or mental space than it should.
We don't need to solve your whole business.
We need to work out what's really happening here and what needs to be decided now.
.
One problem, or the whole business?
Fresh Set of Eyes is designed for one problem, one decision or one part of your business that feels stuck.
If your question is:
“I don't know what to do about this.”
Fresh Set of Eyes is probably the place to start.
If it feels more like:
“There are so many things going on in my business that I don't even know where the real problem is anymore.”
That's where The Full Picture may be the better fit.
And if you're not sure, you don't need to diagnose yourself before you book.
If I genuinely think you're in the wrong place, I'll tell you.

How I work

One of the things clients tell me most often is that they feel heard.
Not rushed. Not judged. Not squeezed into somebody else's framework.
I come into these conversations with curiosity, experience and a natural tendency to look at how things connect.
My work sits across strategy, operations, systems, people and the realities of running a business as a human being, which means I rarely look at a problem in isolation.
Sometimes the answer is operational.
Sometimes it's strategic.
Sometimes it's about capacity, timing or support.
Sometimes the question you arrived with turns out not to be the question that needs answering first.
I don't need the answer to fit a predetermined model.
I want it to fit your business.
What you'll leave with...
By the end of our 90 minutes, you'll have:
✓ A clearer understanding of what's actually happening
✓ Greater confidence in the decision or direction in front of you
✓ A practical next step or way forward
✓ A recording of our conversation
✓ A written summary with recommendations and next steps
Most importantly, you should leave carrying less, not more.
We're not aiming to magically solve every challenge in your business.
But the thing you've been circling now has a name, a place and a direction.
Sometimes feeling lighter is simply knowing which problem you're actually solving.
CASE STUDY
What one conversation made possible
Kath came into her session feeling behind in her business.
She knew something wasn't working efficiently, but couldn't quite see where the problem was coming from.
Together, we looked at what she was actually spending her time on compared with what she thought she was spending her time on.
That gap gave us something tangible to work with.
"After our session, I feel much more organised and confident I'm working more efficiently. The coaching and advice Julia provided was invaluable."
Kath Harris.

Is Fresh Set of Eyes right for you?
This session is a good fit if you have something specific you want to think through and you value having another experienced person in the conversation.
You don't need a perfectly formed question.
You don't need to prepare a presentation.
And you don't need to know the answer before you arrive.
You simply need to know that something is taking up more space than it should.
This probably isn't the right fit if...
-
You want someone to make the decision for you without understanding your business or involving you in the thinking
-
You're expecting every challenge in your business to be solved in 90 minutes
-
You already know exactly what needs to happen and are looking primarily for someone to implement it
-
The issue spans many interconnected areas of your business, and what you really need is a broader review
What clients say
"Julia helped me uncover the emotional blocks keeping me stuck in the planning phase. She helped me simplify my approach and find my message."
Lisa Hogan, Nutrition Coach
"It's so good to offload and think it through with a different brain - someone who can see things from a new perspective, has the skill set to offer real ideas and solutions, and has your best interests at heart."
Rebecca King, Flourish Movement Studio

Meet Julia
Hi, I'm Julia
I'm a strategic Online Business Manager and operational architect, and I work with capable women who feel like everything in their business still depends on them.
Over time, I've become known for helping founders untangle operational complexity, reduce mental load and find the simplest path through problems that have felt bigger than they really are.
I've realised that most founders don't come to me because they need another system or another piece of software implemented. They come because something feels harder than it should, and they're too close to it to see why.
That's where I do my best work.
I have a knack for listening to how you describe your business, spotting the patterns hiding underneath, and helping you untangle what's really creating the friction. Sometimes it's a process that no longer fits. Sometimes it's a decision you've been circling for months. Sometimes it's simply that your business has grown, but the way you're running it hasn't caught up.
Fresh Set of Eyes is designed for those moments.
It's a chance to step out of the day-to-day, think with someone who understands both strategy and operations, and leave with practical next steps that make your business feel lighter, clearer and easier to run.
Because often, you don't need more ideas.
You just need the right perspective.
Your session includes
Before We Meet
You'll complete a short pre-session questionnaire, A Few Things I'd Love to Know, so I have context before we begin.
That means we don't need to spend the first half of the session getting me up to speed.
During the Session
We'll spend 90 minutes together via Google Meet, working through the issue properly.
I'll ask questions, offer perspective, challenge assumptions where useful, help you follow the implications of different options, and bring strategic and operational thinking to whatever is in front of us.
Afterwards
You'll receive:
✓ The recording of our conversation
✓ A written summary of what we uncovered
✓ Recommendations and practical next steps you can refer back to
The aim isn't to send you away with pages of new work.
It's to give you something useful enough to act on.
Frequently asked questions
What if I'm not sure this is the right session?
That's okay.
You don't have to know exactly what kind of support you need before you book.
Your pre-session questionnaire will give me a good sense of what you're bringing. If I genuinely believe another service would serve you better, I'll tell you.
I'd much rather point you in the right direction than sell you the wrong session.
Will this create more work for me?
It shouldn't.
The purpose of Fresh Set of Eyes is to reduce some of the mental load around the issue, not hand you an enormous new action plan.
You may leave with something to do, change or decide. But you'll understand why it matters and where it sits in relation to everything else
Do I have to keep working with you afterwards?
Not at all.
Fresh Set of Eyes is designed to stand on its own.
Some people come back whenever another significant problem or decision lands. Some realise they need a broader look at the business and move into The Full Picture. Others want ongoing access to this kind of thinking through The Sounding Board.
And many simply leave with the clarity they came for. There is no expectation either way.

90 minutes. One thoughtful conversation. A clearer way forward.
The longer a decision or unresolved problem sits in your head, the more energy it quietly consumes.
If you've been carrying something around for weeks, you don't need to keep circling it alone.
You don't need to arrive knowing the right question.
You simply need to arrive with the thing that's taking up the most space in your mind.
We'll start there.
Where business meets heart.
Every business is built by a person.
When we care for the person carrying the business, we build a stronger business too.
That's the work I care about most.
